Installing MariaDB on Arch Linux

pacman -Syu

Now you can reboot the system by running the following command to apply the changes:

reboot

In the next step, you can install the MariaDB package using the following command:

pacman -Sy mariadb

mariadb-install-db --user=mysql --basedir=/usr --datadir=/var/lib/mysql

systemctl status mariadb

mysql_secure_installation

Switch to unix_socket authentication [Y/n] N

Disallow root login remotely? [Y/n] Y
Remove test database and access to it? [Y/n] Y
Reload privilege tables now? [Y/n] Y

How to Access MariaDB on Arch Linux
